This action-packed program offers students the opportunity to work as an effective team member.  After developing confidence paddling and steering canoes, students will discuss, plan, implement and revise strategies as they follow compass bearings and complete team challenges.  Who will become Tallebudgera’s ultimate Survivor Champions?

Daily Program

  • Kayak basic skills and drills.
  • Discuss & develop team roles. Students are divided into tribal groups.
  • Students learn how to read a compass and follow bearings.
  • Survivor challenge begins.
  • Part 1 – Students work in teams to paddle the course following compass bearings and performing team physical challenges.
  • Part 2 – Students collect yabbies and attempt to catch and release the largest fish.
  • Paddle home, debrief and announce Survivor Champions.
