New Program!
This unique drama-based program contains explicit links to The Australian Curriculum: Science (Biology) for Year 7.  Students will be enrolled in a research project that focuses on classification and relationships between organisms, ecosystems and human interactions in the Tallebudgera Estuary.  The students will gather evidence to decide whether the area can be sustainably developed by a fictional company, Dynamite Developments.  This program comes with a complete 8 week unit plan, resources and assessment ideas.

Daily Program

The activities on the day will focus on:

  • Food chains, food webs and interactions of organisms in ecosystems.
  • Classification of organisms using dichotomous keys.
  • Sustainability and human impacts on environments.
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives.
  • Adaptations of organisms to environments.
  • Canoe skills and physical activity.
